Careers — California-licensed psychologists

Build your practice. Keep 75%.

Grounded Therapy is a fully remote, insurance-accepting group practice for California-licensed psychologists. We provide the credentialing, billing, marketing, and community — so you can do the work you trained for.

You keep 75%
Most group practices take 40–50% of everything you bill. We keep 25% — to cover your EHR, billing, credentialing, and marketing. The rest is yours.
Higher rates from day one
We've negotiated premium insurance reimbursement rates across Aetna, Cigna, Optum, and others. You benefit from group-level contracts without building them yourself.
100% telehealth, your schedule
Work from home on the days and hours you choose. As a 1099 contractor, you set your caseload, your client profile, and your limits. We don't dictate any of it.
Who we are

Our team operates from an intersectional, anti-oppressive framework. We specialize in trauma, anxiety, OCD, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ communities, and identity-related concerns. We are not a referral-mill — we are a practice built around values.

What we handle — completely

Grad school taught you to be a psychologist, not a medical biller.

Every hour you spend chasing a denied claim or updating a credentialing application is an hour you are not earning, resting, or caring for clients. At Grounded, our dedicated team absorbs all of it.

Credentialing
Insurance credentialing & contracting
We submit and manage your credentialing applications across all GT payer contracts — Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Carelon, Lyra, Modern Health, and others. Most providers are credentialed within 60–120 days of signing with us, before starting.
Billing
Claims submission & billing
Our in-house billing specialist, Lish, manages every claim — submissions, benefit verifications, denial research, and follow-up. You document the session; she handles the rest.
Technology
EHR, fax, phone & HIPAA-compliant tools
Your EHR account, HIPAA-complaint video, phone, fax, SMS, and encrypted email are fully configured and covered. Zero out-of-pocket cost for clinical infrastructure.
Marketing
Directory listings, SEO & referral funnels
We maintain your Psychology Today profile, your listing on our high-SEO provider directory, and an active referral network. Most providers reach a full caseload within 3–5 months.
Community
Team & peer consultation
Weekly Thursday case consultations, shared clinical protocols, and an annual in-person retreat. Private practice doesn't have to mean practicing alone.
Business analytics
Your own dedicated business nerd (MBA)
Monthly practice reports, personalized financial planning, caseload modeling, and a managing director who actually reads the numbers. You focus on clients — we track everything else.
Community

Private practice shouldn’t mean practicing alone.

The isolation of solo practice is real — and it’s one of the fastest paths to burnout. At Grounded, you join a team of nine like-minded clinicians who collaborate, consult, and actually know each other.

Weekly
Case consultation, Thursdays 2–3 PM PST. Optional, always valuable.
Annually
In-person provider retreat.
Ongoing
Shared clinical protocols and treatment resources: DBT, Unified Protocol, CBT for Panic, and others.
The ramp-up, honestly

Here’s what month one actually looks like.

The ramp-up period is real, and we don’t hide it. What we can show you is exactly what to expect — based on your target caseload, how many clients you’re bringing, and how quickly our credentialing and marketing fill the rest.
