Terms of Service
The terms that govern using this website and working with Grounded Therapy.About this website
This website is provided for general information about Grounded Therapy and our clinicians. It is not medical or psychological advice, and using it does not create a therapist–client relationship. Nothing here is a substitute for care from a licensed professional. In a crisis, this site can’t help you. If you are in danger or having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.
Our services
We provide telehealth psychotherapy with doctoral-level clinicians. Your first few sessions are an evaluation — a chance for you and your clinician to decide together whether you’re a good fit and to outline a treatment plan. You may discontinue therapy at any time; we ask that you attend one final session to review the work when possible. If you don’t schedule for three consecutive weeks without prior arrangement, we may consider the professional relationship discontinued.Appointments and cancellations
Sessions are typically 53 minutes, usually weekly. Once an appointment is scheduled, you are responsible for the full fee unless you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Insurance does not cover late-cancellation or missed-appointment charges.Fees and payment
Payment is due at the time of each session unless other arrangements are made. Fees for other professional services (such as report writing, extended phone calls, records preparation, or participation in legal proceedings) are charged at the clinician’s rate and agreed to in advance. See Insurance & Rates for current self-pay fees and accepted plans.Your records
We are required to keep treatment records, maintained in our secure electronic health record system. You may review your own records or request a copy; in some cases we may suggest reviewing them together or providing a summary. Requests that require professional time may be subject to a reasonable fee.Communication and social media
The most secure way to reach your clinician is through the client portal. Email and text should be limited to scheduling or non-clinical questions, since those channels are not confidential. To protect your confidentiality and the therapeutic relationship, our clinicians do not accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients on social media.Concerns and complaints
If you’re not satisfied with any part of our work, please raise it with your clinician as soon as possible — we want to hear it.
